VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 24, 2026 — Spirit Blockchain Capital Inc. has appointed Suha Askary as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, as the blockchain infrastructure company seeks to accelerate growth across digital assets, decentralized finance (DeFi), artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies.
Following the leadership change, Raymond O’Neill has stepped down as interim CEO and will continue serving as Chairman of the Board and Interim Chief Financial Officer.
Askary brings more than three decades of executive leadership experience in global investment management, institutional capital markets, financial engineering, and technology-driven investments. Her career includes advising public and private companies, institutional investors, and family offices while leading strategic investment initiatives across North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
She has also played a role in several major corporate and investment transactions in the Middle East, with expertise spanning cross-border finance, blockchain, AI, digital assets, and technology commercialization.
Before joining Spirit Blockchain Capital, Askary served as Chief Executive Officer of Al Bashayer Investment Company and Yield Investments Ltd., where she led investment and technology-focused growth strategies. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from California State University, Long Beach, an MBA from the University of California, Irvine, and postgraduate credentials in Blockchain Innovation from the University of California, Berkeley.
Chairman Raymond O’Neill said Askary’s extensive experience in global capital markets, strategic investments, and emerging technologies aligns with the company’s long-term objectives and will support its next phase of growth.
