Dubai, UAE: US-based financial services company Robinhood Markets Inc. is preparing to introduce stock and cryptocurrency trading services in Dubai in 2027, marking another step in its international expansion strategy and strengthening its presence in the Middle East.
According to a Bloomberg report published on October 22, Robinhood has secured regulatory approval from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to provide trading and custody services to retail investors across 10 asset classes. The authorization includes stocks, cryptocurrencies and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
The approval will enable Robinhood to establish a stronger foothold in the UAE’s financial market, with its office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) serving as the operational hub for its regional activities.
Through its planned launch, Robinhood aims to make investment opportunities more accessible to retail customers in the Middle East, allowing users to participate in traditional financial markets alongside digital assets.
The Dubai expansion forms part of Robinhood’s broader efforts to grow beyond its home market in the United States. The company entered the United Kingdom in 2024 and expanded its services across the European Union in 2025, reflecting increasing demand for its digital investment platform.
Robinhood also received preliminary regulatory approval in Singapore in April 2026 to offer brokerage services, further supporting its ambitions to establish a presence in major international financial markets.
Robinhood Chief Executive Officer Vlad Tenev described the company’s expansion into Dubai as an important milestone in its long-term vision of developing a global investment platform.
Tenev emphasized the company’s ambition to create a financial ecosystem where individuals worldwide can access and own high-quality financial assets, regardless of their location.
The planned Dubai launch comes as the UAE continues to attract international financial technology companies and digital asset businesses seeking opportunities in the Middle East.
With its DIFC presence and regulatory approval, Robinhood is positioning itself to enter the region’s growing retail investment market while expanding access to both conventional securities and cryptocurrency trading.
