Dubai, UAE – DMCC, Dubai’s leading international business district and global commodities hub, has partnered with Web3 marketing agency EAK Digital to bring its flagship BlockDown conference to Dubai for the first time, reinforcing the emirate’s position as one of the world’s fastest-growing digital asset and blockchain hubs.
Scheduled for 26-27 January 2027 at Uptown Dubai, the inaugural edition of BlockDown Dubai is expected to attract between 2,000 and 3,000 attendees, including founders, investors, technology companies, venture capital firms, financial institutions and blockchain innovators from around the world.
The partnership marks the latest regional expansion for EAK Digital, following the rapid success of Istanbul Blockchain Week, which has grown into Türkiye’s largest Web3 industry gathering. By launching BlockDown in Dubai, the company aims to establish a premier regional platform connecting the global blockchain, AI and digital finance communities.
Hosted at The Plaza in Uptown Dubai, the two-day event will feature discussions covering digital assets, blockchain infrastructure, tokenisation, decentralised technologies, artificial intelligence, Web3 gaming, venture capital and financial services. Organisers say the conference will highlight how these emerging technologies are increasingly reshaping global commerce and financial markets.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC, said the convergence of blockchain, artificial intelligence and digital assets is becoming a defining force in the global economy.
“Digital assets, artificial intelligence and blockchain infrastructure are moving from the margins into the core of the global economy,” he said. “DMCC has built the region’s leading technology community, home to one of the largest concentrations of Web3 companies in the Middle East. Through our partnership with EAK Digital, we are creating a premier platform that connects founders, investors and institutions at the centre of this transformation.”
Erhan Korhaliller, Founder and CEO of EAK Digital, said Dubai was the ideal destination for the next phase of the BlockDown brand.
“We have spent six years building Istanbul Blockchain Week into Türkiye’s largest Web3 conference, and that experience showed us the need for an event that balances meaningful business opportunities with an exceptional attendee experience,” he said. “Dubai sits at the crossroads of capital, technology and global ambition, making it the ideal location to establish what we intend to become the region’s defining Web3 event.”
The partnership reflects Dubai’s growing appeal as a global centre for blockchain, digital assets, AI and gaming technology companies seeking access to investment, progressive regulation and international markets.
DMCC has developed one of the world’s largest Web3 ecosystems, hosting more than 800 Web3 companies within its technology community of over 4,000 firms, alongside more than 26,000 businesses spanning trade, finance and professional services.
Under the agreement, DMCC will host BlockDown Dubai at Uptown Dubai, its flagship mixed-use district anchored by Uptown Tower. The destination has quickly become a leading business and innovation hub, offering premium office space, hospitality and world-class event facilities.
The organisers expect the inaugural conference to feature leading blockchain protocols, digital asset companies, venture capital funds, technology firms and internationally recognised brands, further strengthening Dubai’s reputation as a global hub for innovation and the digital economy.
