Emirates Introduces Crypto

Emirates has introduced Crypto.com Pay as a new payment option for eligible UAE residents, allowing customers to use the digital payment service when booking flights through the airline’s official website and mobile app.

The new payment method is available for bookings priced and settled in UAE dirhams. The launch follows a strategic partnership between Emirates and Crypto.com announced in July 2025, as the airline continues to expand its digital payment capabilities.

Customers using mobile devices can complete transactions directly through the Crypto.com app. Desktop users can instead scan a QR code displayed during checkout and authorize the payment through the app.

According to the companies, transactions are processed through Crypto.com’s Dubai-based entity and operate within the UAE’s regulatory framework, with the payment integration designed to meet applicable local requirements.

The move adds another digital payment option for Emirates customers and aligns with Dubai’s broader push toward a cashless economy. The Dubai Cashless Strategy targets having 90% of financial transactions across government and private-sector entities conducted digitally by the end of 2026.

Emirates’ adoption of Crypto.com Pay reflects the growing integration of digital payment technologies into the UAE’s travel and aviation sectors, as businesses continue to explore new ways to simplify and modernize customer transactions.
