DUBAI, UAE, July 28 — Cryptocurrency trading platform Flipster has secured a full operational Exchange licence from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), allowing the company to launch regulated virtual asset services in the UAE as it accelerates its international expansion.
Issued under Flipster FZE (Licence No. VL/26/07/002), the approval authorises the company to onboard customers in the UAE, with plans to gradually extend access to a wider global user base. The platform will initially offer spot trading as the foundation of its regulated product portfolio.
Flipster also provides access to real-world asset perpetuals in supported jurisdictions, enabling traders to gain exposure to both digital assets and traditional financial markets.
The licence marks the company’s progression from in-principle approval to full operational status under VARA’s regulatory framework, one of the world’s leading regimes for virtual asset oversight.
Operating under VARA’s supervision allows Flipster to offer regulated trading services supported by governance, custody and compliance standards designed to enhance transparency and investor protection.
The company said the approval reflects its commitment to meeting international regulatory standards, viewing compliance as a key element in building long-term trust while supporting innovation in the digital asset sector.
Flipster entered the Middle East market in May 2025 with the appointment of Benjamin Grolimund as General Manager of Flipster FZE. The operational licence represents the next stage of the company’s regional expansion, enabling it to provide regulated crypto services in one of the world’s fastest-growing digital asset markets.
